"Tickled Pink"
 at the Laguna Playhouse

Performing a stand-up set as Mindy Solomon in "Tickled Pink."

A semi-autobiographical play written by Rita Ruder about the early stages of her stand-up career. Emma played Rita's surrogate character, Mindy Solomon.

"Fassler's delivery of Mindy's extended comedy routines is inspired: she manages to suggest Rudner in her low-key affect, without ever seeming to be trying to do an impression. She is laugh-out-loud funny." - Coast Magazine.
"Fassler now gets the kind of star vehicle that ought to put the delightfully quirky young lady on the Southern California theater map. Reminiscent of a young Carol Kane, Fassler makes for an utterly endearing Mindy, in addition to proving herself quite the expert at stand-up, nailing each and every one of Mindy's one-liners to give Rudner a run for her money." - StageSceneLA

In "Tickled Pink" with Annie Abrams at the Laguna Playhouse.

"Rudner's tale is told through the superbly talented Emma Fassler. When Mindy finally breaks through as a stand-up comic, the audience can close their eyes while listening to Fassler, and imagine Rudner speaking this ironic, self-deprecating dialogue. It's sort of like watching Owen Wilson do a pitch perfect  Woody Allen in the movie 'Midnight in Paris.'" - Coastline Pilot

"The delight of the show, though, is Fassler. Her portrayal of the nervously quirky assistant is a masterpiece of comic timing and memorable character development." - Backstage

"We Are Gathered Here"
 with Cartel LA

"Our favorite performance of the evening was by Emma Fassler as bride-to-be Lisa. Fassler crafted a matrix of voluminously layered wavering emotion, exceptional subtly and cleverly divulged intimacy."  - LAist

"The Cherry Orchard"
 at Theatricum Botanicum

"Emma Fassler's love-hungry maid... melds hilarity to poignancy without overkill." - LA Times

with the Los Angeles Theatre Ensemble

"Wade and Fassler shine brightly as these downtrodden souls, bringing a delightfully woebegone modern-day Laurel and Hardy - or is it George and Gracie? - sensibility to Vukadinovich's eclectic mix of characters." - Backstage
